The device can be purchased either for $0 down payment and $10.50 (approx. Rs 650) per month for a period of two years via T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan or for a price of $252 (approx. Rs 15,000). The Chinese vendor has confirmed that the ZTE ZMAX will be also made available via the MetroPCS by the end of this year. The ZTE ZMAX is based on Android 4.4 KitKat and it is claimed to be almost a stock version. When it comes to specifications, the smartphone is given a 5.7 inch HD display carrying a resolution of 1280×720 pixels layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the handset uses a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor ticking at 1.2 GHz clock speed and this is paired with Adreno 305 graphics engine and 2 GB of RAM. The imaging hardware of the ZTE ZMAX smartphone comprises of an 8 MP primary snapper with auto focus and LED flash for better low light photography and a 1.6 MP front-facer to take charge of the selfies department. There is an ample 16 GB of internal storage capacity in the device and it can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Connectivity aspects onboard the ZTE smartphone are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS/A-GPS and 4G LTE. A juicy 3,400 mAh battery powers the smartphone from within providing a decent backup of 14 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby time respectively.
