Elaborating on the specifications, the Xolo Q600s is the first Xolo smartphone to be fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The handset is given a 4.5 inch qHD capacitive touch screen display that packs a resolution of 960×540 pixels and a quad-core processor ticking at 1.2 GHz. Furthermore, there is a 5 MP primary snapper with LED flash and a VGA front-facer for basic video calling.
On the storage front, the handset includes a low 4 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded externally with the help of a micro SD card up to 32 GB presumably. Connectivity wise, the Xolo Q600s features 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and includes a 2,000 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Xolo Q1200 boasts of a 5 inch HD IPS display packing a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to protect the screen. Under the hood, there is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM to handle the multi-tasking department.
While the handset is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Xolo has assured to roll out the Android 4.4 KitKat update to the Xolo Q1200. For imaging, the device features an 8 MP Sony Exmor RS primary camera with dual LED flash alongside a 2 MP front-facer for making quality video calls. This handset includes increased native storage space of 8 GB that can be expanded with the help of a micro SD card. Other goodies include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG and a 2,000 mAh battery. The launch of the KitKat based Xolo Q600s should not be a surprise as the vendor was reported to launch KitKat based smartphones sometime soon apart from updating its older models.
