The XOLO Play carries a model number ‘T1000’, which signifies the launch of a new series, the ‘T’ series after the very successful Q and X series. Speaking of the overall specifications of this new device, the phone as mentioned comes with a nVidia Tegra 3 processor which will be clocked at 1.5 GHz per core. This processor comes coupled with a 12-core GPU, clocked at 416MHz which means gaming performance will be much better than other phones in the price range. There will be 1GB of RAM to complement this powerful processor, and also to make sure multitasking is smooth and efficient. The phone will feature dual SIM feature.
The screen will be a 4.7 inch HD panel, which, if we’re concerned, is the ‘sweet spot’ in screen sizes as far as smartphones go. Not too big, not too small, fits in the pocket. That apart, the phone does 312ppi of pixel density which again is not bad for regular as well as multimedia usage. The phone will also pack 4GB of ROM, which is pretty much a move to cut costs. The ROM can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card, like most other smartphones. On the imaging front, the phone comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera for video calling. The 8MP rear camera is capable of 1080p recording, and comes with a BSI sensor and LED flash to assist low light photography. The Xolo Play T1000 can currently be pre-ordered for Rs. 15,999 from Flipkart, and will be available by 3rd week of July.
