To recall, Xiaomi had launched the Mi Note 2 in China last year in October. It was the first Xiaomi device to come with a curved display, now the Mi Note is to come with dual curved and nearly bezel-less display. Earlier this year, the renders of Mi Note 3 had surfaced online, and the phone was spotted with a dual camera setup. Although, not much is confirmed about the upcoming device, the leaks, and rumors that have been circulating on the net now reveal a lot more about the phone. It is rumoured that the upcoming Mi Note 3 might ditch LG’s dual-curved OLED panel which was used in the Mi Note 2. It is suggested by reports that Xiaomi has partnered with Samsung to manufacture the dual curved display for the Mi Note 3. The upcoming Mi Note 3 is expected to come with a 5.7 inch QHD dual curved AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.
The Mi Note 3 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 platform, coupled with 6GB of RAM. However, similar to its predecessor the phone is also expected to come in two variants. One variant could be 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, while the second is supposed to be 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The upcoming phone will run the latest Android 7.1.1 operating system with the recently launched MIUI 9 on top. Furthermore, if we talk about the camera, the phone is said to feature a 12 MP dual rear camera setup along with an 8 MP front camera. The phone is said to be powered by a 4000mAh able battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging support. Coming to the price, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is expected to be priced at $599 (Rs. 38,893 approx.) for lower end variant while the 8GB RAM variant is expected to be priced around $699 (Rs. 45,333 approx.). Currently, there is no information whether the device will be available in India. Currently, Xiaomi is focusing on the budget and midrange segment in India. The company has kept away devices such as the Mi Mix and Mi 6 from India. The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 may not be launched in India in the near future.
