Unlike Oppo R5, Vivo hasn’t compromised with MicroSD card slot or 3.5 mm audio jack either, in X5Maxx. The display is 5.5 Inches and size and like other contenders in the ‘Slimmest Smartphone’ race, this one too is a super AMOLED panel, with 1920 x 1080 (full HD) pixels spread across it. The processor used is 1.5 GHz 64 bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939), with Adreno 406 GPU and 2 GB RAM. The 16 GB internal storage can be further expanded by another 128 GB using MicroSD card slot. Rear camera has a 13 MP sensor with LED flash and wide aperture F2.0 lens. The front selfie camera has a 5 MP sensor with F2.4 lens on top. Phablet sized Vivo X5Max measures 153.90 × 78.00 × 4.75 mm and houses an average 2000 mAh battery. For rich audio output, Vivo is using YAMAHA YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip, SABRE ES9601 DAC and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier, which Vivo has termed as HiFi 2.0. Other features include 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. The Vivo X5Max has been priced at 2998 Chinese Yuan, Approx. 30,000 INR and we can expect it to arrive for a similar price in India next week.
