First thing that is missing as compared to other Lumia devices is capacitive buttons. For the first time, Nokia has opted for software keys. While software keys might be an advantage or a disadvantage based on your personal taste, it didn’t feel right on the Lumia 630. The device has large bezel below the display and Lumia 630 could have done without compromising that real estate. As far as our initial testing tells us the onscreen buttons are always there and you don’t get an immersive mode as in Android KitKat.

Nokia has also eliminated dedicated shutter key from Nokia Lumia 630. We didn’t see one in Nokia X series as well, but its omission from Lumia 630 will be missed. You can conveniently launch camera app with the shutter key on Lumia devices besides using it to click images. Shutter key and Capacitive buttons were a mandatory requirement in Microsoft Nokia initial deal and now Microsoft has changed that perhaps to allure Android OEM’s to adopt Windows phone platform. These measures were taken to provide uniform user experience and are no longer mandatory. With the support for Apps installation on SD card, OEM’s also get the option to provide only basic 4 GB internal storage on future devices. Many users will be awaiting Cortana, Microsoft’s personal voice assistant, but its future is not yet certain in Lumia 630 to launch in India in next few weeks. Microsoft has stated that Cortana will launch in US , UK and China for now and will come to other countries later. This could be due to under developed Bing services in India which power Cortana. Nokia Lumia 630 also lacks front camera and rear camera flash which would definitely affect low light performace and those interested in selfies, but won’t be a deal breaker. With not much price difference, which one would you go for- Nokia Lumia 625 or Nokia Lumia 630 ?
