Karbonn has managed to reach the headlines with the launch of a couple of octa-core phones. The vendor has come up with the Titanium Octane that will be available from the first week of next month. To talk about this handset, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a MediaTek SoC with 1.7 GHz octa-core processor. There is a 5 inch display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and 16 GB of onboard storage that can be expanded externally up to 32 GB. Also, there is 1GB of RAM in the smartphone for smooth performance. When it comes to other specs, the Karbonn Titanium Octane has a 13 MP primary camera sensor coupled with a 5 MP front-facer for video chatting sessions. Besides these, the handset includes a 2,000 mAh battery, which is disappointing.

While the Titanium Octane is a low-end variant, the Titanium Octane Plus is a higher-end model with improvements in certain aspects. The handset includes a 5 inch display, but the difference is that it boasts FHD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels instead of HD. Also, there is 2 GB RAM in this model along with 16 GB of internal memory capacity that can be expandable.
The handset includes the same 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor and is fueled by the chocolaty Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. When it comes to the imaging segment, the phone includes a 16 MP primary camera that is coupled with an 8 MP front-facer for video calling. The display is topped with OGS technology that makes it more responsive. Running on Android 4.2, the phone has the MediaTek MT6592 True octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. There is a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor for improved low light photography, image stabilization and 1080p video recording ability and an 8 MP front-facer for video chatting sessions.
