Camera and Internal Storage

The camera performance sounds pretty decent with a 5 MP rear camera accompanied with LED flash and a 2 MP front facing shooter. The rear snapper can record FHD 1080p video of decent quality that is average of the pricing of the smartphone. The internal storage is only 4 GB (of which only 2.27 GB is user accessible) that is paltry for a smartphone in the entry-level matket segment as many manufacturers have started bundling 8 GB of default storage space in their devices. Anyways, this storage capacity can be extended externally by another 32 GB using a micro SD card.

Processor and Battery

The processor used in the Spice Dream Uno H is a quad core MediaTek MT6582 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz. This processor is assisted by 1 GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU to render better multitasking and graphic handling in its class. This hardware can definitely make the Spice offering a moderate one in terms of performance. The battery capacity of the device is 1,700 mAh that is below average, but it should be capable of delivering a day of backup to the smartphone under moderate usage.

Display and Other Features

The Android One smartphone is given a 4.5 inch display boasting of a FWVGA resolution of 854×480 pixels. This screen rendered good viewing angles in our hands and it was capable of displaying good colors without any pixilation. Price and Conclusion

The Spice Dream Uno H carries a decent price tag of Rs 6,499 for the specifications that it packs. It goes without saying that the Android One smartphones will receive prompt upgrades to the platform from Google, which is a highlight of this offering as well. But, Google has to consider changing the spec sheet of the Android One devices without any major impact on the pricing as such a low storage space, low screen resolution and average battery are some aspects that let this lineup down in terms of competition.
