Turn Long URLs into Simple Custom Shortcuts
Unfortunately Google Chrome does not come with speed dials and even if you install a New-Tab extension it will just affect the performance of your browser. Bookmarks are also not reliable if you have a long list. So, here is a simple way by which you can access these websites by replacing the long URL of the website with a shortcut. Step 1:
Open the settings of your Google Chrome Browser by clicking the options button on the top right corner.
Step 2:
Now search for the setting “Manage search” by using the find option. You can access it by using the shortcut keys Ctrl+F.
Step 3:
Click on Manage search to open the page.
Step 4:
Now click the add option under the section other search engines.
Step 5:
The dialog box that pops up now will have 3 text boxes.
The first one is the search engine, enter the name of the website you want to add the shortcut for. This is just for your reference.
Step 6:
In the keyword text box, enter the keyword which you want to enter in the address bar to open the above website. This will be the shortcut key you would be using to open the site.
Step 7:
Finally, enter the link to the website in the ‘URL with %s in place of query’ text box. You can specify homepage as well as inner pages here.

That’s all click on the add button. From now on you can access the website you added using the shortcut. All you need to do is type the keyword and hit Enter key.
