Realme has already announced the launch of Realme 3 Pro last month. During the announcement, the company compared it with Xiaomi‘s Redmi Note 7 Pro. Now the phone has been launched in the same segment as Redmi Note 7 Pro. So, let’s find out which one is better value for money phone.

Realme 3 Pro Vs Redmi Note 7 Pro Specifications

Design: Plastic back Vs Glass back

The Realme 3 Pro comes with a plastic body. The device looks good though with a shiny 3D Glasstic look that the company calls 3D Speedway design. The thickness of the phone is just 8.3mm which makes it easy for one hand usage. The phone comes in Blue, Grey, and Purple colors.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a premium glass back design. It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back as well. It also has a splash-proof body with P2i nano-coating. The phone is just 8.1mm thick so it can also be used by one hand very easily. It comes in Black, Red, and Blue colors.

Winner: Redmi Note 7 Pro is a winner here because of its glass back design.

The Realme 3 Pro sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The brightness level and daylight visibility are good.

The Realme 3 Pro’s rear camera comes with a 64MP Ultra HD mode in which you can get 64MP resolution pictures. This is achieved by combining four pixels into one. There is also a nightscape mode. It sports a 25 MP f/2.0 aperture selfie camera. The front camera also supports Portrait, AI and Beauty modes. The Redmi Note 7 Pro also has dual cameras at the back. It has a 48MP primary camera having Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.79 aperture. It offers 12MP image output using super pixel tech but you can also get 48MP output in Pro mode. The new Realme 3 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 710 10nm processor. It is an octa-core processor which is clocked at 2.2GHz and has an Adreno 616 GPU. The Snapdragon 710 is a powerful processor in the mid-range segment. The Realme 3 Pro comes with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a new 2GHz Snapdragon 675 processor with up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM. It also comes with up to 128GB storage. The SD 675 is one of the first chipsets in the 600-series to get the Kryo 460 cores. It has an Adreno 612 GPU. We played PUBG Mobile on both phones. We experience a little bit of heating in the Redmi Note 7 Pro while it was not the case with the Realme 3 Pro. Moreover, currently, Realme 3 Pro also comes with Fortnite support.

Software: ColorOS Vs MIUI

The Realme 3 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Color OS 6 on top. The Redmi Note 7 Pro also runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. Both the UIs are based on the latest Android OS and have their own set of features. We leave the choice here on users. Winner: You can decide here.

Battery and Connectivity: Realme wins

The Realme 3 Pro packs a big 4,050mAh battery that supports OPPO’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The device comes with a 20W fast charger in the box.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro also gets power from a big 4000mAh battery. It also comes with Quick Charge 4 fast charging support but it doesn’t come with a fast charger in the box. For connectivity, the Realme 3 Pro supports two Nano-SIM cards and a micro SD card using dedicated slots. While the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a hybrid card slot so you can use either a second SIM or a micro SD card. Winner: Realme 3 Pro is a winner here because of the fast charger and dedicated three card slots.

Verdict

Both phones offer decent features at the same price. They both have similar displays and also offer almost the same camera results. So, if you want better looks, you can go for Redmi Note 7 Pro. However, if you want better gaming, better connectivity features, and a fast charger in the box, Realme 3 Pro is the right phone for you.
