Snapdragon 730/730G Features
The Snapdragon 730 SoC is an update to the Snapdragon 710 chipset. It is based on the 8 nm manufacturing process. It consists of eight Kryo 470 CPUs in which two are 2.2GHz performance A76-based and six are 1.8GHz efficiency A55-based CPUs.
The chipset comes with a Snapdragon X15 LTE Modem that can offer speeds of up to 800 Mbps. For graphics, it supports the Adreno 618 GPU. It supports up to FHD+ (2520 x 1080) display with HDR10. The chipset features a Spectra 350 ISP and supports triple-cameras with ultra-wide, portrait and telephoto lenses.
The Snapdragon 730G is designed for better gaming performance on mid-range smartphones. It offers up to 15 percent faster graphics rendering over Snapdragon 730, 25% faster than Snapdragon 710, an overclocked Adreno 618 GPU, and HDR gaming for the first time. Its other features remain as the Snapdragon 730.
Snapdragon 665 Features
The Snapdragon 665 chipset is based on the 11nm process. It is an upgraded version of Snapdragon 660. It features eight Kryo 260 CPUs which have been divided into four performance (A73-based) and four efficiency (A73-based) cores. It features X12 LTE modem that can offer download speeds of up to 600 Mbps.
It features a 3rd generation Qualcomm AI Engine that is claimed to offer up to 2x faster on-device AI processing. For graphics, it supports the Adreno 610 GPU which the company claims can deliver long-lasting gameplay. For imaging, it has the Spectra 165 ISP and supports up to 48 MP camera with a wide variety of features like hybrid autofocus, optical zoom, and triple camera support. The Snapdragon 730, 730G and 665 chipsets are currently in the production stage and devices based on these are expected to be available in mid-2019.
