To recall, earlier last week Xioami has announced its Poco sub-brand in India which will be called Pocophone in global markets. Now, Poco India’s official Twitter account has confirmed the launch date of its first smartphone Poco F1 on August 22.

Poco F1 Expected Specifications
As per the previous rumors and leaks, Poco F1 will sport a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 pixels Full HD+ resolution and a notch on the top. Under the hood, the POCO F1 will be the powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor. Memory wise, it is expected to come with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For optics, the POCO F1 will feature a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup powered by AI features like other Xiaomi phones. Up front, there will be a 20MP selfie camera with AI Portrait and AI Beautify features. Additionally, the POCO F1 will also have facial recognition feature. For connectivity, the Poco F1 will support 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and USB Type-C. The device will house a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. On the software front, the smartphone is to come with Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9.5 on top. The POCO sub-brand by Xiaomi is targeted at offering flagship-level smartphones at an affordable price. So, the Poco F1 is expected to be an affordable Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone in India and could be priced around Rs 30,000. Though we will have to wait until August 22 to know the exact pricing and other details like availability of Poco F1 in India.
