The smartphone comes with a 5 Inch display bedecked by 720 x1280 pixels. You wouldn’t be off track expecting a full HD display at this price range, but the display won’t be a deal breaker. The IPS LCD display also comes with OGS technology and Gorilla Glass 3. The phone comes with 1.2 GHz quad core snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, the same Qualcomm budget star which we saw in Moto G and Galaxy Grand 2. The chipset is however assisted by 2 GB RAM which arms it to handle all your multitasking needs Besides 16 GB of native storage you will also get 32 GB MicroSD card slot. On the software front you will get Android 4.4 Kitkat with slight customizations. Imaging hardware includes 13 MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 2 MP front shooter. Rear camera seemed like a decent low light performer and you can record full HD videos. Battery capacity sounds pretty decent at 2500 mAh. The phone also supports Dual SIM functionality besides 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Software enhancements include Kwik Lock double tap to unlock the screen, Fit Home UI for single Hand operation, Pop i player, Music cafe and of course the Gesture play which debuted with Panasonic P81. Panasonic Eluga U has been crafted for good user experience and looks like an attractive proposition in 15 K to 20K range. It will perhaps be even more attractive after initial few price cuts. It will face some competition with Xiaomi Mi3 and octa cores like Alcatel One Touch Idol X+, but they have their own shortcomings.
