Micromax Canvas 4 is expected to have a 5 inch IPS display with a display resolution of 720p instead of rumored full HD resolution. This is a little disappointing cause, this Flagship device was expected to have a full HD resolution. Although the clarity will still be very good with very high pixel density. This phone will be powered by MediaTek MT6589 processor which is a Quad core processor clocked at a frequency of 1.2 GHz. RAM capacity of this device is rated at 1 GB which is again below what was claimed by the rumored specifications. We were expecting a 2GB RAM capacity from canvas 4. Internal storage is 16 GB and it also has a slot for microSD card to further enhance the storage capacity. Another highlighted feature of this phone is its unique screen unlock system which is rumored to be “blow air to unlock”. As is pretty clear from the official images this phone has a 13 MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera in the front. The battery capacity is 2000mAh as was previously speculated and also the O.S. is latest Android 4.2 jelly bean. Micromax promoted this phone through a series of teasers on Facebook and Youtube. The body appeared to be metallic in the teasers. Its frame is made of aluminum and the remaining body is plastic (as can be seen from the pictures.) it is 8.9 mm thick and weighs a moderate 145 grams.
Expected Specs
The final pricing is not yet clear, although it is rumored to be in the range of 16,000 to 20,000 INR. If the display resolution is not full HD and RAM capacity is 1 GB (both below expected values) then the pricing of this phone becomes even more crucial.
