Another Smartphone from Micromax, Micromax Bolt A66, has made appearance online, thanks to the prolific tipster for Micromax mobiles, MMXNewscaster. Micromax has recently launched various phones in the Micromax Bolt series which include, Bolt A59, A28 and Bolt A61.
All of these smartphones are basic android phones and the Bolt 66 will reportedly have the highest price tag of Rs. 5,999. Micromax Canvas A66 will reportedly sport a 4.5 inch display with FWVGA resolution which amounts to 218 ppi, and is above average considering the price range. The Chipset employed in this smartphone is not impressive and seems quite obsolete. It sports 1 GHz single core processor with standard 512 MB RAM and 165 MB internal storage. The storage is expected to be extendable using MicroSD support. The primary camera is of 2 MP and a Front VGA camera is also present for video calling. On the software front this phone employs Android 4.1 jelly bean operating system. The battery capacity is 1500 mAh which is expected to last one day with low to moderate usage. Like the other Bolt series devices, this one too is meant for first time Android users and sports basic specifications, but with a larger display size. Their are numerous dual core option available at this price range like Xolo A500L, Intex Cloud Y4, etc.
