[table id=378 /] The LG G5 comes with sleek a metal unibody design. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with LG Optimus UX 5.0 UI skinned on top. The device features a 5.3 inch QHD IPS LCD (1440×2560 pixels) display with a pixel density of ~554 ppi. It comes with a Always-on display that shows the user time and notifications without waking the device. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. “The wait for the first ever modular phone of 2016 to arrive in India is now over. The LG G5 is powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. The highlight of the device is its Modular flexibility. It is the first device that comes with a modular design. It comes with accessories called LG Friends that includes LG Cam Plus, that adds physical buttons for camera usage and also adds 1200 mAh of battery power to the smartphone, taking the total battery to 4,000 mAh. Another module is the Hi-Fi Plus B&O Play module. It has been co-developed by Bang & Olufsen and LG. It is a portable Hi-Fi DAC which can be used as a portable DAC with the G5 to enable 32-bit audio playback. Other accessories to be launched are LG 360 VR headset, LG 360 Cam camera, LG Rolling Bot and LG Tone Platinum. LG has said that it will add more modules and make a LG Playground. It comes with the LG Friends Manager app to manage all the accessories.
The LG G5 comes with a dual-camera setup which includes a 16 MP 78-degree lens and an 8 MP 135-degree wide angle lens. The 8 MP camera has a wide field of view which will be better for landscape photography. The primary camera comes with laser autofocus, OIS and LED flash. On the front, the device comes with an 8 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity options on the LG G5 include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C and NFC. The device is powered by a 2,800mAh battery Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Pricing and Availability
The LG G5 has been priced at Rs. 52,990 and is available for pre-order from Flipkart. It is available in Titan, Gold and Silver color options. As an introductory offer, LG is offering a free battery and charging cradle worth Rs. 3,499.
