Update 13-1-15: Lenovo Tab 2 A710 has been launched exclusively on Snapdeal.com in for 4,999 INR Lenovo has announced two new budget Android tablets, Tab 2 A7-10 and Tab 2 A7-30 priced at $99 and $129 respectively. These are very basic Android tablets meant for first time users, with almost similar hardware.
Both tablets are fitted with a 7 inch IPS LCD display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and are powered by 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT8382M processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. Lenovo will also launch a 16 GB variant of Tab 2 A7-30. Both tablets house a 3450 mAh battery . A7-10 comes only with a VGA front camera, while A7-30 has an extra 2 MP rear camera as well. This shouldn’t however make $30 worth of difference in two tablets. The major difference is that A7-10 is a WiFi only tablet, while A7-30 also supports voice calling and 3G. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, front-facing speaker and Dolby Audio. On the software front, you will get resource efficient Android 4.4 KitKat. Although the OS is upgradeable, manufacturers rarely pass on new Android version to these budget devices. These tablets should be a reasonable proposition if you are looking for something at the lower end of the spectrum. Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 and Tab 2 A7-30 will be available in January and March respectively.
