Elaborating on its specifications, the Lenovo S580 is given a 5 inch IPS display that packs a HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under its hood, the smartphone incorporates a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor ticking at 1.2 GHz clock speed. This processor is aided by 1 GB of RAM that can render moderate multi-tasking. The imaging hardware of Lenovo’s latest smartphone comprises of an 8 MP auto focus primary camera with LED flash supplemented with a 2 MP front-facing snapper that can assist in video conferencing. Also, the Lenovo S580 bundles standard 8 GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Connectivity wise, the Lenovo smartphone is packed with the usual set of features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The device draws its energy from a 2,150 mAh battery whose backup remains undisclosed and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but Lenovo claims that the device can be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat. The Lenovo S580 is preloaded with Lenovo DOit applications including SHAREit, CLONEit, SYNCit and SECUREit for seamless data sharing, security and syncing.
