The processor remains the same 1.4 GHz Cortex A7 based True Octa Core MT6592M chipset, with additional 2 GB RAM (vs 1 GB in Aqua Power) and 16 GB Internal Storage (Vs 8 GB in Aqua Power). The storage can be further expanded by another 32 GB using MicroSD card support. Imaging hardware has also been improved and the Aqua Power HD comes with 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP selfie camera at the front. For now, this dual SIM smartphone is running Android 4.4 KitKat, but Intex points out that this is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop in future.

Aqua Power houses a massive 4000 mAh battery inside for comfortable extended usage. Other features include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, Smart gestures and GPS. This Dual SIM smartphone will be available in White, Black, Blue and Grey colors for 9,444 INR.

Intex Aqua Power HD brings about some necessary improvements in its predecessor while still cashing in on the success of its predecessor. It appears to be a good value for money device on paper.
