The device has already been a popular topic amongst the rumor grapewine for the last couple of weeks. Previous leaks had already indicated that the smartphone will run on Android 4.4 KitKat and come with 3G and some other connectivity features. Now, according to evleaks, the device will come with a 1.8GHz quad-core Kirin 910T processor, boosted by 2 GB of RAM. This would be a definite update from the Ascend P6 which came with a 1.5Ghz quad core processor. The Camera specifications mentioned state a 13 MP rear primary Camera, and a surprisingly high resolution secondary 8 MP front camera, again an upgrade from the 8 MP rear/5 MP front combo of the P6. The device is also expected to be designed similarly to its predecessor, with sub-7mm thickness. Other specifications mentioned by evleaks are a 5-inch full HD display, with a 2500 mAh battery. The internal storage is expected to be of 16GB, with support for external storage through a microSD card.
Huawei will expected to officially unveil the device in Paris on May 7, at a press event. The Huawei Ascend P7 will be the company’s flagship model for this year. Provided that these rumored specifications turn out to be correct, the P7 would turn out to be both a very able successor to the P6 and an impressive competitor to other mid-to-high end handsets.
