“Now Bharat will speak. After launching SIM cards, Baba Ramdev has launched a new messaging application called Kimbho. Now, WhatsApp will be given competition. Our own #SwadeshiMessagingplatform. Download it directly from Google Play store.” This was the tweet from SK Tijarwala, but there was no download link to the app in the tweet.
Kimbho app comes with all the features just like WhatsApp, and it provides private and group chats with free audio and video calling options. The Kimbho app enables the user to share text, photos, videos, audio, stickers locations, doodle and even GIFs. The Google Play Store page description shows the app’s tagline “Ab Bharat Bolega.” The Kimbho app released just after the release of the Patanjali SIM cards. Patanjali has tied up with BSNL for the Swadeshi Samridhi SIM cards. These Swadeshi Samridhi SIM cards come with more data targeting rural Indian smartphone users. The SIM comes with an unlimited plan for Rs. 144 and offers unlimited calls throughout the country, 2GB data and 100 SMSes. Initially, the SIM card and the service will only be available for the Patanjali employees, but after the complete rollout, the SIM card users will get 10 percent discount on Patanjali products. Ramdev said, “There are five lakh counters of BSNL and people can soon get Patanjali swadeshi-samridhi cards from there.”
