iPhone 6 Plus Display Multitouch Issue
In case you are wondering what the iPhone 6 Plus display problem is, then you should know that there have been multiple reports describing this fundamental flaw with the phone’s display. According to a detailed investigation back in August, the iPhone 6 Plus display issue was described as a ticking time bomb that could render the phone useless all of a sudden.
The issue at hand is a flickering noticed on the display of the affected iPhone 6 Plus units. This issue causes a gray flickering line on the top of the display, hinting that the IPS LCD panel could stop working at any point of time. For its part, Apple maintains that this is caused due to dropping the device repeatedly over a period of time. Here is Apple’s statement on the issue. “Apple has determined that some iPhone 6 Plus devices may exhibit display flickering or Multi-Touch issues after being dropped multiple times on a hard surface and then incurring further stress on the device. If your iPhone 6 Plus is exhibiting the symptoms noted above, is in working order, and the screen is not cracked or broken, Apple will repair your device for a service price of $149.” If you have already got your iPhone 6 Plus’ display repaired because of this issue, Apple will get in touch with you shortly and refund you any difference in the amount you have paid. However, if you have not repaired your iPhone 6 Plus, you can go to the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider to get it repaired, in case your phone has this problem. For this purpose, Apple will charge a flat service charge of $149 or about Rs. 9,900. This is a worldwide program, so it is applicable to iPhone 6 Plus users in India as well.
