The Ambrane A K 7000 features a 7 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. Considering that most other tablets in this price range are offering WVGA resolution, the display is certainly a good one.
The chipset houses a 1 GHz Dual core cortex A9 based processor coupled with 512 MB RAM (DDR3) and 4 GB of internal storage. MicroSD support is also present up to 32 GB. To further pacify your kids the tablet also has a basic 2 MP camera at the back and a VGA camera at the front. The 11.4 mm thick body cavity also employs a 3000 mAh battery to power all the internals. 3G connectivity is supported via external dongle. You could also use WiFi for internet connectivity. The tablet also offers USB OTG support, which will allow you to connect peripherals like flash drive and joy stick to the tablet. The Android 4.2 jelly bean based tablet looks like a good value for money device. We don’t know yet if the chassis is shock proof or if the plastic used is food grade plastic like most other kid tablets. The hardware looks quite good for the asking price on paper. Ambrane will bundle some educational apps, gaming apps and 2 extra back covers with this Tablet.
