Airtel TV: What’s new

For the uninitiated, the Airtel TV app can be installed on your Android or iOS device for free. If you’re an Airtel user, you can stream high-quality videos including movies and series from various channels, now including Eros Now, SonyLIV and HOOQ. With a refreshed app, you get access to 150 new Live TV channels, with 29 HD channels, which brings the total channels offered to 300. These are spread across genres and includes mainstream channels like NDTV, Zee, Sony, and Sun TV. The movies and series are now available in English, Hindi, and 15 other regional languages i.e. Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Assamese, Odia, French and Urdu. Coming to the user interface, the Airtel TV app now comes with a new intuitive UI which includes smart search filters across languages, genres, rating and content partners. This means you can easily search for content with the new UI. The Time Shift feature lets you rewind a live telecast and watch the moments you may have missed earlier. Sameer Barta, CEO – Wynk commented on the launch saying, “The improvements to the app are a result of constantly listening to our customers and taking their feedback to the design table. We believe that we have built an app for India’s needs and backed it with a large and exciting content catalogue to serve the fastest growing screen – the smartphone.”
