  3. Under Settings, go to Account Settings and then tap on Voice Purchasing.

Disable Voice Purchasing

You can choose to disable voice purchasing completely on your Alexa. This will make Alexa use the default one-click payment method set on your account to fulfill it. To change that, tap on the Edit Payment Method button and follow the prompts.

Enable Purchase Confirmation

You can also choose to enable purchase confirmation on Alexa, with this only the users who are registered in Voice Match, can make a purchase with Alexa. This will also require a four-digit passcode to confirm the purchase. Note: Disabling the “Purchase confirmation” option will remove all the restrictions and allow anyone to make a purchase using Alexa.

Enable Kid Skill Purchasing

If you enable this option after logging in to your account, it will keep an eye on the purchases made by your kids. You can also enable “Purchase Approval”, which asks your confirmation for every such purchase via an SMS or email on the registered number and email address.

Disable Alexa Voice purchases on the Web

Another way you can also disable the Voice Purchases on your Alexa from your laptop/desktop. Here’s how it can be done:

  1. Go to your Account Settings from the left tab.

  2. Under Account Settings, click on Voice Purchasing.

  3. Here, turn off the toggle next to the “Purchase by Voice” option to stop all voice purchases on Alexa voice-enabled devices.

  4. Once enabled, you need to set a 4-digit pin, and you are good to go.
